| + | *I highly recommend going to Audi Erwin and getting a 24hr subscription and downloading all related documents for your car, including the wiring diagrams. Not only will they give you the colors of the wires, but the exact position and pin number of the wires as they come out of the factory amplifier, which is really important in figuring out which wires you want to splice. | ||

| + | Having done this with my S6, I can say that rather than running new wires through the doors (you DO NOT want to do this, as it is extraordinarily painful), use the existing speaker wires in place. You'll need to splice into the factory out wires from the factory amp and then put those output lines into a digital signal processor (Either Helix Pro or Audiocontrol DM8-10). From there, have your RCA outputs go from your DSP to your aftermarket amp (or multiple amps). Then from your aftermarket amps, have the outputs go to your desired speakers using the ends the other ends of the wires that you just spliced. If your car is a MY2015 or earlier, I highly recommend that you get a digital pre-amp; either the Mobridge DA1 or the Audison Bit1. This will allow you to take the digital signal from the MOST cable from your MMI, and use a digital optical out directly to your DSP, and allow you to ditch the factory amp completely while retaining full functionality of your MMI | ||
