Wait for the printer to finish printing the alignment page. -Remove the cartridge from the printer. Position it in front of you the same way it was previously. -Place a piece of tape over the contact on the top of the row furthest to the right side. -Place the cartridge in the printer. Wait for the alignment page to print. -Remove the cartridge from the printer. Remove both pieces of tape from the metal contacts. -Place the cartridge in the printer. The printer now recognizes the cartridge as new and full as it prints the alignment page.
