If you decide to do this yourself , then I should be able to provide you with the proper torque values and bearing preload procedures for reassembly…
I just did rear brakes last week on a 96 chevy p-30 chassis. I had to use levelers on MH to get weight off chassis then I placed jack stands under chassis frame for safety. Used another jack stand under axle after removing wheels. Remove disc calliper and hange on frame keeping tension off break line.Remove bolts from cap on end of axle have pan to catch oil. Note position of Axle mine had a raised section across it and I used that with the referance to a clock is it 7 oclock and 1 oclock so you can slide axle back in in same position after work is done.Take a rubber mallet and tap on end of axle to free it up. Insert bolt in threaded hole in end of axle to help pull axle out . It may need to be wiggled but it will come out.Look inside Hub and there is a theaded retainer nut around the nut is a metal keeper this acts as a carter pin open the ends of this enough to clear nut. Do not destroy this piece it also holds a second nut behind the first and I could not find this and had to reuse mine. use a punch to back the nut off of threaded axle tube. Gently remove retainer and remove second nut same as first. Hub should slide off axle shaft. Be carefull it is heavy. Front bearing will come out rear stays in place. To have rotor turned or replaced . Place rotor /hub assembly face up and Take a heavy hammer and tap lugs out of rotor hub assembly. I put lug nuts back on to do this to protect threads but didin't have to hit it that hard to get them out. Once studs are out take a large screw driver to pry rotor and hub apart. I had indentions in the middle. I found all the parts I needed at Nappa Auto parts, rear seals ,rotors, pads. If rear bearings are needed to be removed use a piece of 2×2 wood to place on bearing from inside hub to knock out bearing and rear seal. Use old seal turned backwards to tap new seal in to hub. Used permatex on end of axle shaft to form a gasket(impervious to oil).Check lube in rear differintial. Hope this helps have fun and don't get dirty.
