Enable card

edit boot file

sudo nano /boot/config.txt

add this at end

dtparam=spi=on
dtoverlay=mcp2515-can1,oscillator=16000000,interrupt=25
dtoverlay=mcp2515-can0,oscillator=16000000,interrupt=23
dtoverlay=spi-bcm2835-overlay

After reboot, check its enabled and loading

dmesg | grep -i '\(can\|spi\)'

Install VE CAN Setup

https://github.com/kwindrem/VeCanSetup:

install package

wget -qO - https://github.com/kwindrem/SetupHelper/archive/latest.tar.gz | tar -xzf - -C /data
mv -f /data/SetupHelper-latest /data/SetupHelper
/data/SetupHelper/setup

Then, in venusOS, go into package manager and install vecan setup

/data VeCanSetup/setup

select i to install
select enter to NOT add USB
confirm to not add any changes
interface will be detected along with an offer of reboot

Enable in VRM

Go to system, Settings, Services and enable CAN 0
